H. 14.8 cm. Cased glass, colorless and violet. Etched decor with dahlias in a nocturnal mood. Fire polished. Bottom signed: Gallé déposé (needle etching).

"This piece is one of the first to be fully decorated with acid etching and one of the last to be made at Meisenthal. This technique was later used on a large scale in Nancy, gradually replacing enameling in mass production. Cat. Meisenthal, Berceau du Verre Art Nouveau, Meisenthal 1999, no. 40.
