Goblet 'Violettes, Papillon', c. 1894

H. 13 cm. Cased glass, colorless and violet, partially with opalescent white, streaked powder inclusions and burst silver foil between the layers. Etched and finely carved decoration with a violet and a butterfly, the ground completely reworked with the wheel. Foot with stylized decor. Signed on the bottom: Daum Nancy with plant (engraved, gold rubbed, in front of a martelé-cut background).

Foot with a shell-shaped crack and a bevelled edge.
