On May 25, 2022, Friedrich Becker, professor at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and father of kinetic jewelry, would have turned 100. An anniversary year that we celebrate in the auction with three objects of the artist, which are representative of his great passions - jewelry, sculpture and object.
With Hermann Jünger, Gerd Rothman and Patrick Muff, important names of the Munich jewelry scene are also represented.
Karl Fritsch's 'Steinhaufenring' provides lively accents in the dark winter months with its numerous colorful glass stones. Colorfulness and feel also play a major role in the auction's numerous enamel works. With figurative to abstract compositions, Nikolaus Kirchner, Kim Ellwood, Detlef Thomas or Rainer Milewski show the range of the traditional technique and thus create a contemporary approach.
Also visual artists like Pol Bury, Yoko Ono or Arman could not resist the medium jewelry and brought their sculptural ideas into a new format. We are pleased to offer you some extraordinary pieces as well.
All works will be on display in our showrooms from November 24th.
