Bronze pieces, black and silver patinated, chessboard made of foil-covered cardboard. H. 9.0 - 17.0 cm (pieces), 61.0 x 61.0 (chessboard). Some pieces are monogrammed: JS and numbered differently: X/15 (stamped). Probably from an edition of 15.
With a brochure on the origins of the chess set and with illustrations of the pieces: Art Editions LA TRACCIA (ed.): Joachim Schmettau, Modena [no year of publication], published in an edition of 150.
Chessboard and pieces show normal signs of age and wear, including slight bumps on the corners of the board and abrasion of the foil, and light verdigris on the pieces. The dimensions of the board do not match the catalog specifications, so the board may not be original.
