Vase 'Lotus', 1897
H. 17.5 cm. Overlaid glass, colorless, opal white, and amber orange. Etched and, in many areas, wheel-cut decoration, motif with large blossoms of the Egyptian lotus (Nymphaea lotus) on an opaline ground. Signed: GALLÉ (etched, ornamental lettering), inscribed on the bottom in a lotus leaf: Ges. Gesch., déposé (needle etching).
With silver mounting (included separately).
