Small Vase 'Ophrys apifera and Orchis', 1890-94

Rolled leaf. H. 15.8 cm. Execution in Meisenthal. Green glass with pink powder inclusions. Etched and enameled decoration with a ragwort (Ophrys apifera), two pistils as applied cabochons, and etched panicles of a common orchid (Orchis), partially violet. Bottom signed: Cristallerie d'E Gallé Nancy model and decor (needle etching).

Tip with tiny chip.
