H. 14.8 cm. Cased glass, colorless and violet. Etched decoration with dahlias in a nocturnal setting. Fire-polished. Bottom signed: Cristallerie d'E Gallé Nancy modèle et décor déposés (needle etching).

"This piece is one of the first to be entirely decorated with acid etching and one of the last to be produced in Meisenthal. This technique would later be used on a large scale in Nancy and gradually replace enameling in mass production." Cat. Meisenthal, Berceau du Verre Art Nouveau, Meisenthal 1999, no. 40.
