Model three-masted galleon 'Wasa'
H. 54 cm, 80.5 x 25.5 cm. Wood, painted brown, light blue and red resp. clear, striped linen, thread, chast metal, brass figurines and cannons. Marked: Wasa 1628.
'Vasa' ('Wasa') is a Swedish galleon. She sank on her maiden voyage due to faulty design after only one sea mile. She was found in 1956, restored and can be seen at the Vasa-Museum Stockholm today.
