Chrome-plated steel tubing, painted black; blockboard with elm veneer and walnut edge banding.

The desk comes from the home and studio of the painter Caspar Kapp on Leonorenstraße in Berlin-Lankwitz. The building was designed and constructed in 1932 by the architects Hans and Wassili Luckhardt in collaboration with Alfons Anker. Caspar Kapp was the builder and first owner of the house. According to family tradition, the desk has been there since the beginning and has remained in the family’s possession ever since.
