Biography

For his expansive works, Oppermann seeks the challenge in alternative materials. The brooches, combs, and rings he created in the 1990s are often made of pressboard, plywood, or tinplate. Worked as hollow bodies, they retain a certain lightness despite their volume.

Working as a board member of the Forum for Jewelry and Design, Oppermann also repeatedly takes on an active mediating role.
