Gouache on cardboard, mounted on cardboard, behind a passe-partout. 31.2 x 31 cm, 30.8 x 31 cm, and 29 x 50 cm. Each signed lower right: C. STRATHMANN. One reverse bears a collection label. Each is framed and glazed.
These are designs for tapestries. The mounting was done immediately after the works were completed. Provenance: Collection of Dr. Gerhard Woeckel, 1963 directly from Mrs. Alice Strathmann, by inheritance to the current owner.
