Daniel Spoerri. Paper tablecloth for the Spoerri Restaurant, Düsseldorf', 1971 (later edition for exhibitions). Offset print on offset paper. 70.0 x 70.0 cm. Reprint of the paper tablecloth from the Spoerri Restaurant in Düsseldorf with a Tableau piège. The first version was made in 1971 and its back was inscribed with explanation of the Still Life by the artist, missing on the reprints made for exhibitions. The tablecloth was considered a mere article of daily use that was thrown away afterwards. Thus, examples of the first version, used at the restaurant, are extremely rare.
