Hein Stolle incorporated Gerrit Rietveld's wooden slat constructions into this design, which Rietveld used in his designs for the ‘Hoge Stoel’ and the ‘Red-Blue chairs’. The thickness of the wooden slats and their number correspond roughly to the materials used by Rietveld.
