"The 'pictogram' language for the Munich Olympics in 1972, the further development of the Lufthansa 'crane', the appearance of the ZDF in the 1970s. They all have one thing in common: their origins in the offices of Otl Aicher (1922-1991). Co-founder and temporary rector of the Ulm 'hochschule für gestaltung' (hfg), he shaped graphic design in Germany - still noticeable today. Less well known: Otl Aicher also developed furniture, including some of which only very few were made, namely those that Aicher designed for his own last place of residence and work, Rotis near Leutkirch.
