From the mid-1920s onwards, the "modernists" increasingly turned to a reduced formal language, even to the point of completely dispensing with any ornamentation. As can be clearly seen in this necklace! Shapes such as rectangles, circles, spheres and tubes are closely related to the form design of the Bauhaus.
