H. 57.5 cm, Ø 43 cm. Silver-plated metal alloy, lapis lazuli. Enameled owner's initials, coat of arms (anchor, lion and horse) relating to Ludwigshafen and the dates 1887-1912. On the base: "Das hierzu verwendete Edelmetall ist gewonnen aus Schwefelkiesen die in der Badischen Anilin- und Soda Fabrik verarbeitet wurden."

A gift to employee Prof. Dr. August Bernthsen for his 25th company anniversary. With engraved dedications. One bridge has been restored. Signs of wear are visible inside the bowl.
