Lotte Fochler-Frömel Vienna 1884 - 1972 Vienna

Lotte Fochler-Frömel attended the technical school for embroidery at the state trade school in Graz. With the degree, she was licensed to operate in the gold, leather and beadwork trades. From 1904 to 1908 she studied with Josef Hoffmann at the School of Applied Arts in Vienna. The training focus here was on textile designs for decorative fabrics, upholstery fabrics and embroidery. After completing her training, she went directly to the Wiener Werkstätte, where mainly textile and leather designs were created. She was a member of the Austrian Werkbund. She also designed wallpapers for the Deutsche Werkstätten, which were produced by Erismann & Co., Breisach.
