Liberty & Co., London, presented a footstool in the shape of a pig as early as 1927. Dimitri Omersa re-discovered the model and took over the production in the 1960s together with designs of his own. An elephant was his first work. Abercrombie & Fitch took over the US retail of leather footstools in the 1960s through to the 1980s. For the Scandinavian market, Svenskt Tenn accepted responsibility.
