Provenance: from the estate of Prof. Hubert Hoffmann, Graz (Bauhaus student 1926 - 1931). Such an object was offered, marked with the BAUHAUS stamp, in an auction at Phillips, New York on May 24, 2007, as well as at Lempertz, Berlin on May 23, 2008, each time attributed to Marianne Brandt.
