On four fluted legs raised to the sides; slanted, multi-curved hinged lid. H. 67 cm, 90 x 45 cm. Carved walnut frames, mahogany box with inlays in different woods, on the lid a depiction of a brushwood collector with two children and two dogs in a forest, a branch with nuts in the foreground, a village in the background, leaves and flowers on the sides. Inlaid signed: GALLÉ.
