Martin, one-page excerpt from the original book 'Jazz', one-page list of the plates contained in the original book, Matisse's bibliography, and 3 colored stencils, reduced in size directly from Matisse's original cut-out illustrations, with a vertical center fold. 2 copies of 'L'Enterrement de Pierrot' (plate 10) and 1 copy of 'Le Lanceur de Couteaux' (plate 15), each 24 x 37.4 cm.

The prospectus announces the book, published in Paris in 1947 by the publisher Tériade for the Éditions Verve, which is now considered one of the most important and successful artists' books of the 20th century. Translation of the complete text and reproduction of the plates from 'Jazz' with the express permission of Henri Matisse, based on the original edition published by Tériade, Paris, 1947. Translated into German by Ursula Klein; production by Union Druckerei GmbH, Stuttgart; printing plates by Gustav Dreher, Stuttgart.
