With exhibition booklet 'Bijoux de Braque'. The brooch was acquired from the Stuttgart-based Galerie Valentien at the Cologne Art Fair in 1972 and has been in private German ownership ever since. In addition to individual pieces, Braque selected a number of motifs for production in small editions. He set an upper limit of 75 pieces, although the number of actual works usually ranged between 5 and 20.
