H. 57.5 cm, Ø 43 cm. Silver-plated metal alloy, lapis lazuli. Enameled owner's initials, coat of arms (anchor, lion and horse) relating to Ludwigshafen and the dates 1887-1912. On the foot inscribed: "Das hierzu verwendete Edelmetall ist gewonnen aus Schwefelkiesen die in der Badischen Anilin- und Soda Fabrik verarbeitet wurden."

A gift to employee Prof. Dr. August Bernthsen in the event of his 25th company anniversary. With engraved dedications. One bar has been restored. Signs of wear are visible inside the bowl.
