'712','Corbusier' armchair, c. 1902
H. 79 x 56 x 50 cm. Beech bentwood, stained dark, plywood, embossed. Marked: maker's label.

Le Cobusier used this chair in 1925 to furnish his 'Pavillon de l'Esprit Nouveau' at the 'Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs' in Paris; also later in houses and interiors Le Corbusiers created; thus, in the vernacularer it is called Corbusier chair. It is not known if this chair was first produced by Thonet or Kohn.
