'Ulm' stool, variation, 1955/56

H. 45 x 40 x 30 cm. Made at the wood workshop at HfG, Ulm. Pinewood, beech, plugged and glued.

The variation with a shelf was designed a little later than the original version. Moreover, there were variations with drawers and slide-ins. Provenance: Found in an attic of a house Am Kuhberg in Ulm; the previous owner worked as a carpenter at the hfg Ulm and the vocational school Ulm.
