Provenenace: acquired directly from Fornasetti, Milan by the current owner in the early 1960s.

'Indeed, all European culture derived from the vocabulary of Palladio and, before him, Brunelleschi and Bramante, and Fornasetti celebrated it in countless plates featuring dome motifs (...) and the chest-of-drawers that he called simply 'Palladiana'.' (Patrick Mauriès, Piero Fornasetti, S. 96).
