Informations for consignors
Personal consultation and estimation
We will be happy to welcome you at our premises in the Munich Museum area. at Theresienstrasse 60. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m to 6 p.m. Our experts, Ellen Piper, Pierre Brossard, Arthur Floss, Askan Quittenbaum and Faridah Younès willingly view and estimate your items for free. If you prefer to contact us by fax or E-mail, photographs will help us to make a first evaluation.
Several times a year, our experts travel through Germany and the neighbouring countries. During consultation hours in quite a few cities, works of art can be presented for estimation. This service is free of charge. You can also leave your items with them for the upcoming auction. Location and time of these consultation hours will be published ca. three weeks earlier on the internet under ‚Expert journeys’. You don’t need to make an appointment to take part in those consultations. If you are considering to offer a larger collection, a meeting at your home or office can certainly be arranged.
If you are not able to deliver the objects personally, they can be sent by post after notice has been given to one of our experts. For larger consignments we can organize a professional, inexpensive and secure transport for you.
Cataloguing and Presentation
Every object will be catalogued as precisely as possible. Our catalogues are being sent out to ca. 2,500 clients in Germany and abroad. They are also visible on our website. Each consignor gets his or her own free copy of this catalogue ca. three weeks before the auction takes place. Next to catalogue and online-presentation, viewing begins one week prior to the auction.
Fees, commission, insurance
We charge a fee for photographs, internet participation and editing of € 40,-- (+ VAT). Insurance adds up to 1% off the reserve (+ VAT, 19%)
Commission progresses as follows:
