From the collection of a German art historian, purchased at Richard P. Hartmann, Munich, in 1968.
 

Typed authorisation by the artist, dated 10 November 1967 can be shown.
A letter by Hundertwasser' assistant, dated 21 May 1968 states that the original painting from 1955 seems to have vanished.

The carpet had been examined by Dr. Andrea Fürst. She confirmed the authenticity in an e-mail.
