Murano Glass - Almost 40% of the 80-odd lots in the Italian private collection were sold. Napoleone Martinuzzi’s ‘Elephant’ changed owner for €4,400, while his ‘Opalino’ vase fetched € 4,000. Carlo Scarpa’s ‘Sommerso a bollicine’ vase, one of the highlights of the collection, achieved its estimate of €9,000. Fulvio Bianconi’s asymmetrically shaped ‘Pezzato’ made its expected price of €7,500. The rich offering of vases by Anzolo Fuga was successful, realizing prices between €2,500 and €4,800. A great unexpected success was an Anzolo Fuga vase, whose price was driven up to €13,000 by online bidders.
